About this activity
Most travelers associate Lisbon with yellow trams gently circulating up and down the hills under a wonderful and unique light, but under our feet there are thousands of “lisboetas” running through galleries where this light is absent and circulation is much faster. Who could imagine that in these galleries one can find some of the finest examples of Portuguese contemporary art? Under display there are marvelous “azulejos”, the famous glazed painted tiles, one of the most typical Portuguese crafts. Come with me underground and we'll discover together these artistic treasures that you would probably miss if travelling alone. This is a brilliant activity for anyone who likes art, local history and loves a bit of ceramic.

I was born in Lisbon. I travel a lot, but I still find Lisbon one of the prettiest and most interesting cities in the world. I’m also passionate about Portugal and the Portuguese people. And I’m willing to share this passion with you.
