About this activity
Discover the Saint-Martin canal: an authentic and trendy neighborhood! The Saint-Martin canal is quickly becoming one of the most popular areas in Paris and is attracting numerous high-quality chefs and artisans.

Your stroll begins with a visit to an indoor market where our fishseller welcomes you with an oyster tasting! Then we move on to our butcher, a true pork enthusiast, where you will taste his saucisson and authentic pâté de campagne (country style pâté). Next stop: the cheese maker where you will choose a few of his delicious cheeses. This fabulous selection will be accentuated by a delicious, crusty baguette chosen at a renowned French bakery. Your stroll will conclude with a visit to our favorite pastry chef where you will taste his outstanding culinary delights. We then stop by an artisan’s shop to taste some of his different kinds of pralines (almond covered with caramel). Finally we end our walk with a nice glass of wine at our favorite wine merchant!

The culinary arts have always been around in my family. My parents are both excellent cooks and my grandmother shared her passion for good meals with me. These were made with produce from her garden and enjoyed around a big family table. The preparations for our family lunches start a few days before the lunch itself. Consisting of many courses, lively conversation and laughter, these meals go on until late in the afternoon!
