Paris Markets
Paris is a city so full of local markets that you could argue there is one for everybody. You can find a local market in almost every neighborhood and the flea markets of Paris are internationally famous. Markets in Paris are an excellent way to see the city through locals eyes, so you should dare to walk through some of them letting their exquisite products surprise you or finding bargains and vintage items at great prices. Marché Bastille (Bastille market) has a wide variety of vegetables and is believe to have more products than any supermarket in town. On Saturdays the food stands are replaced with artists and craftsmen stands. Marche des Enfants Rouges (Red Children Market) is the oldest market in Paris, located in the Marais neighborhood which has a wide food offer from Japanese, Moroccan, Italian and of course French. Marché Mouffetard was mentioned by Hemingway in his book "A Moveable Feast" and it still preserves its Charm; visitors will find a unique atmosphere as well as delicious food. Marché de Montreuil is a not-so–famous flea market where you will find priceless vintage antiques and chic second-hand clothing.
